History of Beaver Dam, Kentucky

Beaver Dam, Kentucky was incorporated in 1873 but it was way before that when the city was founded by settlers back in 1798.

When the first group of people arrived, they started the first Baptist church. They also noticed the large beaver dams built in the nearby creeks and streams. And that’s where the name Beaver Dam all started.

1798 was also the year that Ohio County was formed from Hardin County. It was called Ohio County because it bordered the Ohio River.

Today, the city is booming with business and has a lot of industrial cooperations in the area. The population for 2023 was around 3,500 people.
